Golf at Champion Lakes

The intricate course, expertly designed by owners Dick Groat and Jerry Lynch, weaves in and out of luscious forests and picturesque groves of native hardwood trees with strategically placed lakes and pins to challenge even the most accomplished golfer. Golf enthusiasts recommend the course for its magnificent layout, demanding clear focus and concentration with every shot.

Proof of the testament — the course record of only 5-under par is held by PGA Tour Professional Rocco Mediate, and golf legend Arnold Palmer held a low round of 68. Champion Lakes is one of only three public golf courses in Western Pennsylvania to receive a 4-star rating and dubbed “Best Hole in Western PA” by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette golf expert Gerry Dulac. Champion Lakes also garnered a “Best Value Award” from Golfing Mid-Atlantic and “Host Course” from West Penn Golf Association.

We’re proud of our history as a business and our legacy on the green. Our award-winning course has played host to alumni baseball teams from the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs, NFL stars such as Bill Fralic, Jimbo Covert, Brett Farve and Tom Flynn and numerous other professional athletes and teams.

Champion Lakes Golf Course and Clubhouse are open seven days a week for individual play, outings and tournaments.
